On tap at Krah, krah, Vienna, Austria. February 2014. Shared with lovely Anja. As "Krah bräu", the house-beer. Light yellow, average white head. Very faint cereal aroma. Light sweetness. Light body, medium carbonation. Empty. Boring.

Moretum (173) - Vienna, AUSTRIA, AUSTRIA - APR 28, 2016
Bottle as Raben Original, Krah Krah, Vienna. Pours hazy, yellow colour with a small white head. Aroma of sweet malts, grains and some hops. Taste of sweet malts and grains, medium bitterness, light metallic. Seems to be quite normal, but I don´t want to drink it too often.

Werckmeister (3328) - Vienna, AUSTRIA - DEC 29, 2015
0,33l green glass bottle at Krah Krah. BB 19.05.2016, as Raben Original 5.6% ABV. golden clear shiny colour, medium big white head. Smells tobacco, citric. Medium to full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. Tastes quite sweet, bit metallic, light fruit notes, some plums, light nutty, some tobacco, light honey, bit cardboardish. Finishes lightly dry with light plums, tobacco and light cardboard. overall Ok, a but sweet, very light stale/off notes, but not too bad, just drinkable but a but boring.

Saeglopur (2326) - Vienna Woods, AUSTRIA - MAY 19, 2015
330 ml bottle as "Raben Original" from Burgenland Kulinarium Am Hof, Vienna.
Pale golden, crystal clear body, with a small, frothy, off-white head.
Aroma of grains, hay, grass, some citrus, sweet malts.
Unpleasant taste of grains, metal, bitter herbs, some medicine, sweet malts.
Light, slick mouthfeel, with a low carbonation.
Finishes bitter, herbal, a bit dry, note very aromatic.

Don’t like it. Smell is OK, everything else below average in my opinion. Unpleasant herbal taste, without much aromas.

3rd Wiener Bierfest, Vienna, Austria. Sampled by Kis Salétrom and Szebeni Ászok. Pfuj. KS: Hát igen, megint befigyelt a Szebeni Ászok-effektus: "Gyertek gyerekek, ez a fesztivál söre."

Vom Faß im Bettelstudent, Wien als Hausbräu Hell. Body is hazy straw-golden and sparkling. Dense white top. Soft sweetish malt aroma with hint of bread and creamed caramel. Mild mouthfeel, light in body. Mellow, light bready malt flavor. Subued bitterness. Easy drinking.

Marko (6088) - Split / Zagreb, CROATIA - DEC 4, 2011
At Bettelstudent of course, they say they brew it themselves. Heh. Anyway. Hazy golden body with a persistant creamy white head. Light, soft sweet malty nose, delicately dusty. Perfumey, yeasty helles, fruity anf grainy. Weak bitterish finish. Works.

omhper (25723) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - NOV 20, 2008
Draught at Bettelstudent, Vienna. Lightly hazy golden, small creamy head. Mild buttery malt. Fairly sweet and light bodied with quite soft mouthfeel. An easy drinking, very careful and restrained helles with very low bitterness. Having just tasted a number of Hungarian microbrews the similarities are striking.

Geiserich (4595) - Linz, AUSTRIA - FEB 23, 2005
UPDATED: NOV 20, 2008 Draught at Bettelstudent, Vienna
Yellow cloudy color, small creamy head. Classic austrian micro brew Helles, which means overall. Grain and yeast flavor but not very distinctive. Not bad but common.
