Tap at pub. Clear deep dopper colored with a fairly loong lived off-white head. Aroma is muted malt with light earth hop notes. Medium bodied at it’s most finest. Malt, possibly caramel and melanoidin? Modest bitterness and hop flavor. Pretty decent for a non-flashy beer style. Murphy (1759) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - AUG 6, 2003
Not too bad for a red ale (should be listed as such). Good dark copper color, with a good malty presence. Red ale taste throughout the palate. Decent. SuzyGreenberg (1603) - Seattle, Washington, USA - SEP 15, 2008
draft @ brewery - clear dark copper with off white head; lots of sweet, caramel malts; some slight fruit too; slightly bitter, but stays on the sweet side; decent tokyogoat (1503) - San Diego, California, USA - JUL 7, 2010
I didnt expect to like it, but it really was delicious. Not too caramelly or sweet, nice hop bite, complex but mellow. very good beer. gracefullypunk (667) - Portland, Oregon, USA - AUG 20, 2010
on tap. Pours red brown with beige head. Floral hops, toffee, brown sugar smells. Tastes a little dusty, sugary, some toasted nuts, slight pepperyness.

on tap: amber in color with off white head, aroma has some sweet malt along with a hint of hops, flavor well balanced tastes between a weak IPA and an amber nothing really sticks out but not a bad beer. Gooney (389) - Portland, Oregon, USA - MAR 14, 2010
On tap at Paddy’s as Cascade Copper Celtic. Minimal aroma (due to the plastic cup?). A bit woody tasting. Nice beer. AxeMaster221 (343) - Portland, Oregon, USA - SEP 4, 2002
Nice malt/hop aroma, and a beautiful coppery color, with a small white head. Nice malt taste, with a bitey hop finish. Good stuff, and nice with the fish and chips.
