A true copper color and clear with an off white lacing head. The aroma has hints of grapefruit. The flavor is hoppy without too much real bitterness. the flavor is of grapefruit with a little dry aftertaste. There is also some malt running around in there.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear gold with a large white head. Bright lemon and citrus on the nose, almost an artificial cleaning product level. Very bright. Toast and malt. Medium bodied, but thins immediately, soft toast and a bit of fruit. Sweet.

From tap at Cascade Barrel House, Portland. As Cascade IPA. Aroma is soft fruity hops, biscuity malt, orange, with a touch of pine. Flavour is light to moderate sweet with a bitter finish. Body is medium. Rather ’classic’ IPA, not a hop bomb, maybe a little rough, but it tasted pretty agreeable from tap.

piscator34 (2647) - Winnipeg, Manitoba, CANADA - MAY 15, 2017
Draft at the Cascade Barrelhouse. Hazy gold in colour with medium carbonation. Aromas are of white grapefruit pith, pine resin, and rope. Not overly malt on the palate, with more white grapefruit, herbal hop, and dried grass being the dominant players. Smooth mouthfeel, with a solid balancing bitterness. Solid PNW IPA.

Cascade Barrel House, Portland. Malty beer, ok hop. Very simple, clean. Old school. Gray head on hazy orange. Not terrible but really boring.

@ Cascade 16-3-9: Sålt som Cascade IPA. Trevlig humleton med hint mot gräs och hö. Trevlig balans. Mycket gott.

Tap at the barrel house. Hazy orange pour with a white head. Bready, slight pine, hint sweaty but not in a bad way. Decent.
