FROM NOTES: October 21, ’12. A: Soft, grassy and slightly herbal hop scents mingle with a mild biscuity aroma. A: Pours a clear, golden straw color with a white, fluffy two-finger head. Good retention. T: Starts with a clean crisp nip with a mild malt sweetness. Nice bitterness and a dry finish. P: Light body with a good carbonation. Very clean, with it was a bit more crisp. O: Overall a good pilsner but it is missing some punch to be great.

Draft at Craft Brewed. Pours a clear gold with a finger of foam that lingers. Nice grainy nose with a touch of lemon. Crisp and bitter, husks with peppercorn and faint grass. Cleans and crisp finish w/ light bready sweetness. Solid pils on draft.

UPDATED: OCT 10, 2017 .330 bottle at home. Appearance - pale golden color, with a small to medium head. Aroma - malts and a small hint of bread. Palate - almost medium-bodied with medium carbonation. Taste - malty yet again, with some degree of toastiness, very discrete hop bitterness and some cereal and metallic notes. Aftertaste - very short, bland, with very low bitterness. Overall - a decent industrial pilsner, refreshing, yet not that different from other beers of its kind.

Bottle from Rewe, drank on a campingplatz outside Berlin. A clear pale golden coloured pour with a fine white head. Aroma is nutty earthy malts, bready, hazelnut. Flavour is composed of light grains, honey, caramel, Rye, little, grassy hop in the finish, little metallic. Palate is slightly thin, highish spritzy carbonation. Uninspiring but not terrible.

klm1 (1786) - Bled/SF, - SEP 16, 2017
Pous clear golden with foamy stable white head. Aroma-flavor: crisp like malt backbone, medium hop bitterness with floral, grassy, citrusy hop character, dry, bitter finish. Light bodied, soft texture, medium carbonation. Overall: crisp, clean, and refreshing.

Piepenhenrich (1198) - Steinbach, GERMANY - SEP 15, 2017
One of the most heavily marketed, and thus - I assume - one of the best-selling Pils in Germany. It is indeed good and among the mainstream Pils this is very often my choice. But then again it is a Pils, like the other 12 gazillion, and with that not overly exciting.
