COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Díky tomu má i Birell Polotmavý jemně hořkou chuť, tolik podobnou chuti tradičních ležáků.
Pale Birell has a wonderful full-bodied flavour and pleasant bitterness that give it the heady taste of alcoholic beers. Since it was first brewed Birell has won a number of beer awards, including Best Non-alcoholic Beer of the Year at the 2012 World Beer Awards. In 2015 it came 1st in the PIVEX 2015 Gold Cup in the non-alcoholic beer category in the Czech Republic. Contains no preservatives, artificial colourings or artificial sweeteners.

Piana mocno gruboziarnista. Całość oczywiście pusta i kompletnie nijaka. Są gorsze bezalkoholowe.

On tap @Prag, a clear copper beer with low head. Nose is low, aroma on caramel, toasted, grain, grassy and bitter hops. Not bad but too light, some bitterness

Tasted out of my dad’s bottle at some random place in Prague. Clear and pale slightly darkish pale lager. Aroma of pale malt with a slight toastiness. Tastes like slightly metallic pale lager. Light bodied.

zapach dość neutralny, lekko słodowy z zielonymi nutami roślinnymi, poza tym odrobina karmelu w tle. kolor brązowomiedziany, klarowny, piana w kolorze złamanej bieli, średnio obfita i stara się być trwała. w smaku półwytrawne, lekko słodowe, bardzo lekkie karmelowe nuty, trochę przypieczonego chleba i kurzu. goryczka dość wyraźna choć niespecjalnie wysoka, zielona, ziołowa i roślinna, dość długa i czysta. nasycenie średnie do wysokiego.

Can. Amber color, low white quickly disappearing head. Aroma: malt, toffee, hint of vanilla. Taste: bread, caramel, metalic. Higher bitterness with unpleasant metalic aftertaste. Watery and soft carbonated. Poor LA.

0.5l can. Malty aroma. Copper color, low beige head. Taste is malty with caramel notes. Light body, watery texture, average carbonation and bittery finish. Better than the pale version of this beer.

Bottle at U Bulovky Rychter. This was a difficult one because this brewpub makes very desirable beers and to sit around watching my friends consume them without partaking myself was a challenge. It was on our way to Jirny to see Zizkov romp to a resounding 4-1 victory. I like Birrel among the nealkos and the Polotmave effort is very flavourful. Good gear.

Barwa brunatna. Aromat słodowy, karmelowy, trochę jakby syrop klonowy. Smak wodnisty, karmel, nie zaklejające i orzeźwiające. Mało piwa w piwie.

28/XI/15 - 50cl bottle @ home - BB: 27/VI/15 (2015-1671) Thanks to Marie for the bottle!

Clear dark orange beer, creamy light beige head, dissipates quickly, non adhesive. Aroma: very malty, bit sourish, card board, hay, cow fodder. MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: bit sour, hint of caramel, hay, malty, metallic. Aftertaste: very metallic, bitter hops, somewhat sourish.

Bottle. Moderately strong oxidized aroma and flavour. In comparison with standard Birell it is considerably less oxidized+metallic and some light caramel pokes out. Still very thin and watery and seriously flawed, but not as bad as the classic Birell.
