2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
As always, the pour a translucent gold color, the head unimpressive in size, the color bright white, the lace a thin sheet that almost covers the glass. Malt dominates the nose, clean and crisp, and not a bad sniffer. Start malt and lightly sweet, the top skinny in its feel on the palate. Finish minimally acidic, the hops adequate the aftertaste quite dry and just to “Watery” for me, “NO” body.

I think I saw this beer under another name. If I am correct I think it was more dry and bitter than Pilsner Urquell. Not bad though.

ostrava’s best export since ivan lendl. like ivan i fear it may be past its best. the standard seems to have slipped and it has become more of a supermarket beer and quite hard to find in pubs

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Nice Euro-lager visual appeal. Shallow aroma as well as flavor. OK choice as a lightly refreshing pilsner, nothing more.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
This beer had a really nice appearance to me but it lacked after that. I found it to malty with a fading aroma.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Fantastic sunflower lager: not so hoppy as Urquell, but very rich, crisp, sparkling and refreshing. Goes nice with Bohemian fish (carp). Ideal for pub drinking (and talking).

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Fine beer. I would like, that it was a little bit stronger. Very good in old style czech pub.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
It looks very nice, only if head was a bit thicker and stronger could get 4. Sweet flowery aroma doesn’t represent well what bohemian pilsners are about. Bready if taste, a bit low on bitterness. Bitterness shows up in the end and aftertaste (when bready , grain fell vanish). Not bad, but nothing great either. Fun to drink.

Reminded me a lot of Urquell, but a little sweeter- maybe more malt. Lots of saaz hops in aroma. Not my favorite, but still decent. Still not sure where this is actually brewed- says here on ratebeer that it is brewed in New York, however, the bottle says it was brewed and bottled in Nosovice, Czech Republic, and imported by Hornell Brewing company- lake success New York. So I assume that it is imported from the czech Rep.
