COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Rader Ambrée is the subtle aromatization of a beer brewed in the ancient-way, re-fermented in its bottle, with a distillate of grain which has undergone a prolonged ageing process in oak casks. The primary fermentation is made with the same selected grains for the mash tubbing and the distillate. The distillate, aged in oak casks, is then added to the mash tub just before the re-fermentation in the bottle.

Bottle at Delirium. Rader ambrée. Easy yeast. Taste of yeast, light malt, light spicy. Light amber colour.

Amber appearance. Sour aroma and taste. Rather mild in general. But not bad all in all.

*Old rating, best before 10/2008. Malzig-kräuteriges Bier mit einem Hauch Alkohol. Der Korn(?)brannt passt sich gut ins Gesamtbild ein, würzig ohne zu süß zu sein, interessant.

On tap at Delirium Café. Unsurprisingly it poured amber with an off white head. Yeasty aroma with some caramel in the taste.

Amberkleurig bier met mooie schuimkraag. Duidelijk gearomatiseerd met jenever. Lekkere afdronk, goed bier!

The amber coloured one in a series of two beers made with Radermacher jenever (an old and regional kind of spiced gin); amber colour with medium off-white head, dried fruits and sweetish caramelly malts, nutty, with clear hints of jenever especially in the warming, long finish, next to some leafy hop bitterness. I don’t like jenever very much and certainly not combined with beer, but this is quite enjoyable, better than the blond version too.

Een amber bier met goed wat smaak aan zoals het hoort te zijn, maar je spijtig genoeg te weinig vind.

Fruchtig und stark kommt es daher, ausbalanciert in der Perlung - genau richtig, um ein Finale einzulaeuten. Nebenbei sueffig, leicht suess, etwas Weizen. Klassisch stark.

Bottle bought at the Bierbörse in Mühlheim. Pours out in a cloudy amber colour with steady airy head and smooth body. Aroma of Belgian yeast and herbs. Taste of mild Belgian yeast, herbs, cassis, nuts, caramel, honey and wild flowers. Malty-sweet finish. Easy drinkable but a real headache-beer.
