COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An American Red Ale influenced by multiple beer styles. Intense citrus and stone fruits dominate the nose (or beak if we’re staying with the duck theme), yet the bitterness from the hops is balanced by Belgian and American crystal malts. It smells like an IPA exploding with fancy American hops but has a smooth, malty-but-not-too-malty finish.

glennmastrange (2949) - hobe sound, Florida, USA - NOV 13, 2017
UPDATED: NOV 13, 2017 Can. Light to moderate roasted and caramel for the malt, light to moderate pine for the hops, light dough for the yeast, with dark dried fruit in the background. Head is small, frothy turning wispy, slightly off-white, with good lacing and good legs, and is mostly diminishing. Color is hazy medium reddish amber. Flavor starts faintly sweet and lightly acidic, then finishes lightly acidic and moderately to heavily bitter. Palate is on the lighter side of medium, slick, with a lively carbonation. Not a bad Amber Ale with a nice dose of hops.

commonmac (1383) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - NOV 9, 2016
Mug pint glass at PJ Clarke’s with blonderedhead. Unfiltered amber appearance with a full finger of eggshell white. Aroma is mostly cereal malts with caramel and toffee. Taste is pretty basic amber/red malty with an aggressive bitterness at the end that’s not enjoyable. Bready and a slight caramel note. Not enough sweetness or balance. Appearance exceeds taste. You can skip this one. Entertaining name though.

On tap at Bobbique, Patchogue (8/21/15). Hoppy nose, fresh and floral. Dark coppery-amber with thin head. Medium body with medium carbonation. Nice hop flavor throughout with medium sweet character. Nutty sweet and bitter finish and lingering bitter after.

Tap at Draught 55 slight cloudy amber. Nose is floral hops and caramel. Tastes of caramel, floral, dried foliage, plum, apricot, malt, and slight bitterness on finish. Ok but doesn’t quite sing.

Weak aroma- but a but nutty. Dry hop bitter aftertaste. Sweet start into hoppy. Doesn’t have the depth I like some reds to have.

Draft at Barcade. Pours amber with an off white head. Moderately sweet malty base, with mild citric and flowery hops. Balanced and drinkable.

nimbleprop (9048) - SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA - OCT 11, 2014
32oz growler from Superstar Beverage Huntington. Pours a ruddy brown with some creamy white head. Nose has some caramel, orange, mild pine, a bit dusty. Flavor is a bit better, sweet, malty, caramel, cracker, a little bit grassy, orange, pine. Crisp, bitter finish. The product, as a whole, is better than the parts.

Location: Growler from Superstar Beverage - Huntington, 9/22/14

Aroma: The nose of this one is light, with citrus hops, some caramel, and grassy notes
Appearance: Pours a clear orange-amber color with a small off-white head and some sticky lace
Flavor: The flavor is lightly sweet, malty notes, spice notes, and some closing bitterness
Palate: The body is light-medium, with a decent mouthfeel, soft carbonation, and a mid-dry finish
Overall Impression: This is a decent beer, but there’s something just a bit off in the flavor profile. Otherwise, the feel and pour are quite nice, and the aroma is solid as well. Pretty decent stuff, but the hoppy Amber is a style I tend to really enjoy, and this one is not a favorite in that particular style for me.

Drought. Amber color with whitish creamy head, citrusy hops aroma, low carbonation, sweetish hoppy taste, long finish. Interesting brew.
