3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Hometown brew. Pour is a rich golden color. Head is voluminous and then decides to leave abruptly. Looks almost still at this point. Serious points off for no head. Nose is all black olives, white grapes and chardonnay. Grapey sour and salty fruity. Interesting nose. German to be sure but something just isn’t quite refined enough about it. Excellent on the palate. really a delight to drink. Sticky dry malts with a hoppy, plastic edge. Excellently pulled off. Fruity like pineapples and black olives and then swiftly dry and hoppy. Finish is almost nil which I would regard as to style. Decent take on a maibock.
12 oz. can. Canned 09/05/17. 7% ABV per the label. Pours a thick, poorly retained, off white head, with minimal lacing, over a clear amber (SRM 9) body.......nose is malts with grain, light toast, mild hop spice, balance to the malts......taste is slightly sweet malts, with toast, grain tones, mild hop spice notes, finishing with mild hop bitterness, balance to the malts......mouth feel, medium sticky body, mild alcohol, low carbonation. This does not meet the basic style closely, with several flaws in appearance, and lighter malt strength and complexity in aroma and flavor. In spite of these observations it is an easy drinking beer. Faint sweet malt aroma. Orange-golden color. Medium to light palate with a nice smooth character. Sweet and woody malt with hints of caramel. Low hops presence. Decent beer. PartyFowle (954) - - JUN 5, 2015
Can. Tangerine in color with just a hint of haze and hardly any head. Aroma has bread crust, pretzels, a hint of herbal hops and a touch of fruitiness. The flavor expands on the nose, granting more intense and sharper notes of bread crust, peppery hops and tangy apricot. Carbonation is very low and the body, at a syrupy medium, is a bit heavy for the style. ttoadee (1608) - Austin, Texas, USA - JUN 5, 2015
Gold pour, disappearing white head. Nose is apple and toffee. Bittersweet. Middle is light carmel and soft brown bread. Finish is alcohol and medium hop bitterness. seymour (2120) - Maplewood, Missouri, USA - APR 7, 2015
From a can into a sampler glass at the St. Louis Brews club meeting, thanks for sharing. Clear orange amber colour with thin but persistent white foam, no lacing. Extremely faint aroma but pleasant, unoffensive. Flavour was super grainy, some marshmallo candy sweetness with a soft noble hop balance. Light body, average carbonation, mouthfeel was a little thin and metallic, alcoholic heat crept up in the aftertaste.

Pours a brown color with off-white head. Caramel malts on the nose with just a hint of hops. Finishes with a little sweet note. COMRADEJOSH (320) - Gainesville, Florida, USA - MAY 19, 2014
Smells of malt and brown sugar and caramel.color is orange with small white foam. Taste is a little on the cloying and sweet side for this style. Could be a little more malty in my opinion. A little disappointed but still drinkable. brandon1989 (705) - Lewisville, Texas, USA - JAN 7, 2014

Glowing clear amber with a fleeting head. Decent pale bock/malt liquor style smell with alcohol and cereal grains. Smooth medium body. Mild pale bock flavors here are grainy yeasty bready and mildly swee Theydon_Bois (20926) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - JUN 10, 2013
