4 oz. pour, on tap at The Ginger Man in Austin, Texas. Consumed on 11-6-16. Hazy, dark but shiny amber. Beige head. Caramel and carrot juice scents. Pleasant enough, simple, malty taste. Pretty generic in flavor but works okay. Old-fashioned craft beer. Sweeter than ideal for me. Light body. Frothy and smooth in the palate. Easy to drink. Forgettable.

Deep dark cherry in color, flimsy beige head, kinda fizzy in appearance like a cola. Aroma of sweet tea leaves, tobacco, dark fruity malts and caramel... Smells bold and clean. Lots of caramel, toffee, light roast coffee and notes of mint. Crisp on the tongue initially but leads to a bit of a fuller bodied, lingering finish of malty yumminess. Well masked alcohol.

Deeper mahogany brown, quite clear. Light tan head. Strong caramel nose, some light grains and grassiness. Round sweetness, a bit of bitterness. Medium body, quite clean. Good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Awesome scotch ale. Pours a very deep amber with little to no head and very little lacing as you drink it. The aroma is that of sarsparilla or a root beer smell, followed by an definite caramel aroma and just a hint of vanilla. The taste is very similar to the aroma, it starts off like a childhood memory, a simple glass of root beer on a summer night. Then it quickly transitions into a caramel creaminess again with the hint of vanilla. The mouthfeel, although a seemingly medium bodied beer, is quite full. With the powerful bubbles lingering on the tongue for quite awhile. This is a great example of scotch ale.

Tap at the source. Pours black, mild head. Aroma is caramel, roasted malts, a Stout heavy scotch ale. Flavor is similar. Flavor is caramel, roasted malts. Solid actually.

On draught. Pours a clear medium brown, with a small white head. No lacing. Nose is faint aroma of caramel. Taste is faint caramel and cocoa. Not awful, but nothing special. Doesnt look or taste like a proper wee heavy.

Schertz, TX - H.E,B. grocery store - 12 oz bottle. Pour a dark purple to dark brown with a thin but persistent off-white head. Aroma is strong with some heavy toffee accents, a bit of peat and a wee bit of alcohol. Flavor is bold with some chewy cocoa bits, some toffee, some black licorice and a faint bit of smokiness. Mouthfeel is thick and rich. Excellent winter warmer - good in the hot Texas summer as well!

No head, light taste for a supposed Scotch Ale. Smooth finish, but not memorable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

6 oz pour from room-temp bottle into shaker pint. Dark ruby and opaque with a moderate off-white head. Very sweet caramel and toffee sweetness in the nose. Quite sweet. Caramel, toffee, biscuit, and almost a little meaty taste. Interesting beer. Great for dessert.

Creamy in first sip with mild sweetness, effervescent mouth feel. Mild bitter finish but very well balanced. Excellent
