Mark another awesome brew to be placed in the AW BHoF!! This is simply an exquisite brew! It pours up rich dark brown (nearly black) body with an intense foamy head that lingers for quite a long time and leaves some awesome lacing on the glass! Scents and flavors of bourbon, vanilla, malts, and caramel; none of which overpower the other. There’s just enough twinge from the alcohol that lets you know you’re drinking a hearty brew so don’t rush; sit back and enjoy slowly! This brew has just the right amount of thickness and smoothness that reminds me of a fine well-aged bourbon. Definitely a brew to stock up on and let the bottles age like a fine wine! I can see this being a awesome brew to enjoy during the wintry months but it’s one that can be easily enjoyed year round. medallaisla (91) - PUERTO RICO - AUG 8, 2012
On keg. 6 months old.
Dark brown pour, head dies down and leaves nice lacing.
Lots of whiskey in the nose and dried fruits.
Taste is fruitcake with definite whiskey. Nice and oaky but far from overpowering. As fits the name, the booziness warms, rather than burns. SPDickerman (1239) - Texas, USA - FEB 8, 2011
pours deep, dark mahogany with average tan head. Smells strongly of bourbon and malts, such as vanilla. Hits the tongue with whiskey harshness and then rolls across with a sweet bourbon flavor, vanilla, and dark fruits. Full-bodied with a creamy texture and almost no mouth-carbonation, Rahr & Sons Bourbon Barrel Aged Winter Warmer finishes sweet and silky. bzoot (5) - Lake Jackson, Texas, USA - OCT 9, 2013 does not count
This was one of the first winter warmers that I had ever tried. It is full of flavor and hits the spot every time

Draft at Buffalo Bros. Ft. Worth, TX. Deep deep brown color, with vanilla, oak, and malt aromas bursting out of the glass. Flavor is similar with hints of chocolate, coffee, and bourbon. An excellent beer, and with this years estimated ABV of 13% a treat thats best savored slowly.

After years of being ten minutes too late, our bartender gave us his. It’s everything great about the Warmer and everything great about whiskey. GODiSSOUTHERN (390) - Virginia, USA - DEC 25, 2011
Aroma of sweet chocolate and raisin toast. Extremely smooth with tons of chocolate and subdued hops. Interesting bourbon character with no real harsh tones to it. Amazing. Tformby (4) - Fort Worth, Texas, USA - DEC 31, 2013 does not count
