The color was a crisp amber with a thin, white, and fizzy head. The aroma was sweet, acidic, and fruit. the flavor was spiced and fruity. The palate was very carbonated. The finish was clean. emacgee (4704) - Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA - AUG 11, 2008
Pours a hazy red with a one finger tan frothy head. The nose is grainy, sweet, definite lager character, caramel. The flavor is grainy, some grassy hop character, lightly sweet. Crisp mouthfeel. Not one I would do again. xShanex (60) - Wyalusing, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 17, 2008
Pours amber. Not too super. Not a fan of Rahr beers. A bit watery, nothing special. Have another? Pay me? Rosebud butternuts (2396) - Denton, Texas, USA - JUN 14, 2008
bottle thanks to swalden_28. pours a dark amber with beige head. head retention is at a minimum. aroma was caramel. flavor is slightly sweet with a little bitterness in the end. carbonation is med-high. i have also had this on tap at the brewry. this is my second favorite rahr beer next to the winter warmer Soonah (1120) - Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA - MAY 16, 2008
Bottle. The pour was ruby and brown in color. Thin off-white head with minimal lacing. Corny, malty aroma with some underlying medicinal notes. The flavor was light sweet caramel and some hoppiness with that same medicinal flavor. Thin body. I didn’t really care for it. I should have had a Bud Light Lime instead.

on tap at brewery. Sweet malty aroma, nice amber color. Light and watery. Not much taste. Cletus (6355) - Connecticut, USA - MAY 4, 2008
Bottle courtesy of Mar. Pours copper with a decent white head. Smells of sweet malt. Tastes spicy with some sweet malt hints. Wish I could say more, but there isn’t much going on here. 00cobraR (1103) - Greensboro, North Carolina, USA - MAY 3, 2008
bottle under buffalo butt. a rather unappealing name. Not much here. pours out a deep ruby color with a slight tan head. aroma was malty and the flavor was too with a slight bitterness to it. HoppyGuy (111) - Washington, USA - APR 19, 2008
Pours a deep amber color with a full light beige head and lots of carbonation that dies down after a minute. It has a sweet aroma that is slightly malty. Fairly carbonated and thin, but not a totally bad flavor. I’d prefer a bit more character, but oh well. Not bad, but not great either. Doesn’t stand out. Poured into a Bob’s ’47 pint glass. Pours medium brown, slight reddish hue. Big thick creamy head sticks around. Smells of dark roast malt, coffee. Light on the palate. Thought it would be much more full tasting. Easy drinking with bitter aftertaste. It’s just too watery for my liking for this style. It’s not objectionable, but I sure as hell wouldn’t go out of my way for this either.
