COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Rahr's Red is a delicious, medium-bodied amber beer. As it crosses over your tongue, you'll notice a bit of caramel-like malt character. You'll also notice a slight hops bitterness-there to remind you that despite its subtle flavoring Rahr's Red is a Texas beer.

Clear bright Amber with a generous foamy off cream head. Creamy nougat Amber malt nose with a dash of toast and crust. Smooth, crisp flavor with bright amber malts, a touch of cracker lageriness, and a wee touch of grassy hop. Very balanced, crisp, slightly lagery and Amber malty.

It is a dull red in color with no head or lacing. Average carbonation. Has some nutty aftertaste. Tastes of grass, hay, and leather.

Every so slightly hazy, reddish amber... Coarse white head with cascading lace. Aroma was wimpy, some sweet grainy malt, perhaps apricot. Not much punch at all in the flavor. Tastes like something you’d get at BJ’s or another chain brewhouse.....some slightly toasty malts, bread. It just sort of dies in your mouth.

baraciisch (3277) - California, USA - NOV 28, 2015
Amber in color... Caramel bready malt nose... Flavor is grains, caramel and toasted malts, zero complexity... Slightly astringent finish... Underwhelming ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Amber pour with a white clingy head. Dusty earthy malts. Just another boring amber.

Pours a cloudy amber, decent lacing. Bready, malty aromas. Very sweet, too much so, lots of caramel. Not the greatest.

Light brown with a slight orange tinge. Off-white head. Toasted malt aroma. Medium body. A little bit of a nutty flavor. Length is short but finish is clean. Well made.
