Great taste. Not much aftertaste but it lingers a bit. Had one after shoveling snow off the driveway so maybe that colors my opinion but this is good beer.

Well balanced amber lager. Great aroma while looking at a pleasant red color appearance. Best Rahr & Sons I've had so far.

The smell was nice and mellow with a lil fruit/hops.
I was expecting a lil more of a red color.
I thought it was a lil more hoppy compared to other reds... Nice caramel sweet start with a dry hop finish.
I like this.

This Amber lager could be a little darker in color...... I was expecting a Red Beer..... go figure. This beer, another offering from the Rahr Brewery in Fort Worth is also worth the effort! It’s a well balanced beer with nice caramel undertones balanced by spicy hops. Again, a very dry beer - perfect for the Texas heat. A nice head stayed during the entire tasting - which didn’t take very long. Again, a strong beer from Fort Worth, TX! onceblind (9636) - Denver, Colorado, USA - JAN 13, 2016
Clear bright Amber with a generous foamy off cream head. Creamy nougat Amber malt nose with a dash of toast and crust. Smooth, crisp flavor with bright amber malts, a touch of cracker lageriness, and a wee touch of grassy hop. Very balanced, crisp, slightly lagery and Amber malty.

Poured red with a thin (in size) and thick(in texture) tan head that formed a rich skin over the top...smell is way malty and nutty...very roasted flavor...quite malty...nutty too...complex for this style...I am quite impressed...we might have a good local brewery!! freeofthoughts (688) - Raytown, Missouri, USA - NOV 17, 2011
Bottle pours pale amber orange with a finger of foam. Smells of bready malt and sweet toffee and caramel are smooth. The taste is nice and malty but not as sweet as the aroma with a herbal hop spice that work nicely in the finish. It is a smooth a slightly creamy beer that goes down real easy when cold and it is not hurt much by warmth. Enjoyable on a cool fall evening. legion242 (2348) - Richardson, Texas, USA - SEP 30, 2004
Predictably red. Again, no head thanks to the bartenders pour. Strong malt aroma, maybe a little over the top, but inviting nevertheless. Smooth palate, very little decernable hop character. Kevin (2199) - Montana, USA - NOV 14, 2004
tap at the brewery. malty aroma-sweet caramel, light reddish hue to a brown beer. smooth and smokey with a bitter finish, mouthfeel was a bit watery. TChrome (1472) - North Richland Hills, Texas, USA - DEC 14, 2004
Beer is medium copper colored with a lightly retained off white head. Flavor is very malty with some smokey flavors. Full mouthfeel. Tasty & full flavored whilst remaing easy to drink.
