Bottle. Pours with a hazed orange-brown hued body with a small, off-white head. Aromas are nutty, husky, spicy, herbal, and hoppy. Mild caramel, cereal grain and a bit astringent smelling. The pour is a dark amber color with an off-white head. Lots of toffee and bread malt aromas with a touch of toast. There is a bit of a nuttiness in the background. Tastes much like it smells. Sweet bread and toffee with a hint of brown sugar. A nice nuttiness and perhaps even a hint of vanilla. It’s also a bit toasty with a mild fruitiness. Not bad at all. dyetube (1378) - Hurst, Texas, USA - FEB 9, 2012

Dark mahogany-amber with a small tan head that fades quickly to a ring around the edge of the glass. Aroma of nuts, roast, caramel and honey. The taste is malty and caramel sweet with a mild bitterness. Medium bodied with a short finish. Decent brew, seems sessionable, but at that abv, it would be an abbreviated session. Bottle from The Creeper.taphandle (1135) - Texas, USA - DEC 29, 2011
Pours a deep, cohesive mahogany with amber highlights. The nose is assy malt and roasted leaves from a dirty field. Flavor is a slightly smoky caramel-infused molasses that leaves a trail of smoked raisin and bread. Oily but average on the tongue. Not bad tasting, but the nose needs some work.
Amber and a decent head. Lots of traditional malt taste with the hops bitterness thrown into the background. SudsMcDuff (8429) - .....Manchester United.........., Texas, USA - DEC 20, 2011
650ml bottle from D&Q .. Pours a dead murky brown .. no foam at all .. . aroma of old brown sugar .. . light mouth, goes down easy enough .. . meow, hi .. . an alright bock, but at 8-9 bucks a bottle, what a rip off for such a mediocre brew .. . another big step back from rahr .. . . I hope, when they die, cartoon characters have to answer for their sins.. dfinney23 (3278) - Houston, Texas, USA - DEC 17, 2011
