Grabbed this on draft. You can tell it’s the same beer as Whiskey (End of Winter) Warmer, but it’s better. The bourbon doesn’t take over the taste. There’s a roast and raisin taste to it and the finish is a bit sweet. Definitely one of Rahr’s better beers.

Pours a hazy brown color with a light brown head. Aroma is honey, toast, caramel, brown sugar, fruit, roast, coffee, and a touch of floral hops. Flavor is honey, toast, chocolate, roast, some coffee, and a light brown sugar finish.

Thanks to drowland for the share at the So Long Sea Bass Tasting. Pours dark red-brown with an off-white head. Nose is dark chocolate, cocoa, slight fruit, nuts, and an interesting background sweetness. Flavor is similar to the aroma with a lot of porter quality to this one. Medium bodied and decent overall.

poured a dark cola color with some ruby in the light. this beer poured zero head so im really wondering if i had purchased an old bottle. the aroma was sweet, you pick up caramel, coffee, brown sugar. the taste is not as sweet as aroma but you definitely pick up the coffee and sugary malt taste. i was a little worried to try this after having no head with an aggressive pour but this beer was good, give it a shot.

A tan head fades quickly above a body I can only peg as "reddish-brown". I find a mixture of both pale and dark malts in the aroma (which I find intrguing) along with a lemony/floral hoppiness. Flavor finds a "candy bar of maltiness" which includes chocolate, caramel and nuts... along with some mild, sour/bitter hops. A little thin in the mouth with a dry finish. A sessionable brew for the ABV.

Dark brown in color with an ok head. Aroma has some caramel with other malts. Taste, it needs more of it but there is some malts in there. Thin body. Weak for the style and the alcohol content.

Poured a dark brownish-red color with off white head. Flavor is kinda sweet with a few hints of dark fruits. Aroma not as itense as I would like. Lots of carbonation.
