2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Lightly hazy darkish gold pour. Decent white head. Aroma of english malts, a bit of cooked veggies, honey. Taste is malty, no hop presence a bit fruity, caramel finish. Not bad, but a bit faulty and not a particularly interesting style.
A red dversion of their flagship blonde. Wish it was stronger and heartier. Very earthy. robinvboyer (4657) - Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 29, 2014
Toasted caramel malts, slightly sweet nuttiness, and some slightly piney hops. This is a cross between a brown and a not very hoppy amber. Medium to low bitterness, sweet, nutty break finish, with light grassy hops. Ferris (15265) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 10, 2014
Can - Toasted malts and caramel. Cloudy amber with a rich beige head. Rich caramel, dark fruit and toasted malts. Nice and balanced, well done. Strangebrewer (1308) - Chatham, Ontario, CANADA - APR 1, 2014
bottle. Poured clear deep red-amber with a beige diminishing head. Sweet malt aroma. Medium body, prickly carbonation, tart finish. Flavour of toasty malts with caramel notes. shaynsawchuk (681) - Mississauga, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 17, 2013
500 mL bottle. Pours mahogany with a thin cap that quickly leaves with no lacing. Aroma is a touch of woody hop, chocolate malt, amber caramel, pear and plum. Taste is a fairly dry, finishes roasty. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Not badly made, just boring.

Thanks to my sister for procuring this for me. Pours a dark brown with a beige head. Aroma is slight nutty, bready malt and small vanilla. Taste is earthy and bready and very malt forward. Easy drinking and very enjoyable. neuromatt (1225) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 23, 2013
500 mL can from the brewery, served in a branded glass. Pours clear amber with a small tan head that fades to a thin remnant. The nose has toasty caramel and brown sugar with herby hops and subtle flowers. The flavour is medium sweet balanced with herbal hops. There are nutty malts, herbs, subtle yeast and earth. The finish is medium subtle malts and yeast with soft hops. On the palate, it is light-medium in body with a watery texture and soft carbonation. Overall, this is a passable amber ale with grainy notes and subtle yeast. 2012-09-02 Tiger_08 (138) - Sarnia, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 12, 2012
March 8 2012. Pint bottle. Pours medium orange amber colour. Virtually no head or lacing. Aroma of fall fruits, mostly apple with slight malty yeast. Light palate but not watery. Syrupy, at first, a bit fuzzy but sweet. Tastes like sweet fruit with a sort of sour bitter lingering. Finishes with a hopsy bread taste but not enough bite to offset the sweet acidic apple taste. Good but weird, conflicting mouthfeel for an ale. Digital_Aura (228) - Ontario, CANADA - MAR 9, 2012
Pint bottle from brewery. Vigorous pour produced 1cm head that lasted 5 seconds. Was that lacing or just a thin meniscus? The ale is an autumnal red/orange (18 Lovibond) with little to no action in the glass. Still quite carbonated, though. Odour is of apples and pine. Maybe a hint of something sweet in the scent too but overall there's not much of a nose. Initial taste is bland: something missing. There's no sweetness. Barely any bitterness either. Hints of metallic hoppiness finishing with an understated crabapple tartness. That could have played out better, in my opinion. All in all, it's crisp and drinkable but unmemorable.
