Can - Caramel and pale malts. Clear copper with a decent white head. Lots of sweet caramel and not much else. A bit sweet for my tastes. Lubiere (13898) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 18, 2012
A hazed amber ale with a thick mocha head. In aroma, a rather grassy malt with light iron notes. In mouth, a rather watery nutty malt with herbal notes, faint hops, astringent notes, so-so. On tap at Arrow and Loon, July 18, 2012. Sammy (12178) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 21, 2008
Plastic bottle, fresh at the brewery. A step up from the blond in colour and malt, but slightly less hop noticed. A malt job. A little crowning head. Appropriately carbonated. A touch of chocolate, but unremarkable. jercraigs (10365) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 24, 2008
2008-08-23. Copper dark amber body with a decent foamy beige head. (3+) Fruity aroma has a dusty malt note, has an odd note too it - floral? tangy? that is not unpleasant but a bit strange. Fruity character continues in the flavour and is the main profile, sweet malt with caramel touches in the supporting role. Smooth average plus palate. Quaffable but does not do much to distinguish itself in a crowd. Growler, Golden Tap Awards, Toronto JoeMcPhee (9426) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - APR 19, 2012
Copper (duh) colour pour with a fairly sticky white head. The aroma is fairly sweet with notes of toasted malt, caramel and a little bit of brown sugar. A touch of light biscuit character and some light fruitiness. Fairly clean although there is a touch of estery flavour. There is an odd sort of salty component that fades a little bit as the beer warms up. A touch of minerally hoppiness and a little bit of light spice as well. It’s pretty nice, if quite simple.

[1623-20080823] Bottle. Weird dried flower powder aroma. Clear, amber red body with a quick foamy off-white head. Mild grainy floral malt flavour has a sweet fruity finish. Light-medium body. Drinkable, enjoyable finish.

Draught at Volo. Pours a clear orange-amber with an average size diminishing frothy white head. Very mild aroma of pale malt, fruit and oddly, a hint of sourness. Flavour’s watery, sweet and fruity along with caramel malt and a light bitter finish. Depending on my options it’s not something that would be first on my list to try again as It’s somewhat dull. Still, there’s nothing wrong with it per se, I would happily drink it if I had to. Radek Kliber (7345) - Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), POLAND - OCT 1, 2008

Appearance: Tea like with light hint of ruby , mid bone like creamy head noted. 3+
Nose: Ripe fruity aroma with light alcohol feel on top. Plums with brown malts , light hop side. 5+ .
Flavor/Palate : Sweet brown sugars , highly mineral , rustic. Caramel with slight hoping. A bit nutty mid finish ( a la light Alt). Average.
Draught. At BeerBistro - 2008 Golden Tap Awards. Bright light copper pour, average off-white head. Sot of odd herbal/butterscotch caramel aroma, very sweet. The taste followed - very sweet, somewhat light, with a slight grassiness in the quick finish. Sticky, light body, slick and somewhat still, no real aftertaste - again with this series, just okay, this one didn’t say "homebrew" to me at least (see the Amber) but a tad lower than the blonde. robinvboyer (4651) - Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 1, 2014
Not much going on here...... Other than another butter bomb. Diacetyl everywhere..... Light hops with butter, caramel malts with butter! The finish is very buttery! What a surprise!
