Harvest, a mixed fermentation with Brett, was brewed in May of 2017 and bottle conditioned for 8 months allowing the funky and fruity esters to come to the forefront. Brewed with traditional malts and accentuated with rye malt, and spelt for a rustic kick.
[Bottle (500ml)] Pours a cloudy copper-gold with an average size semi-lasting frothy off-white head. Nice Bretty aroma (7+), fruity and a bit funky along with light herbs. Flavour follows: Bretty, a bit herbal, fruity and lightly hoppy. Finish is lightly tart. Average to medium bodied. Nice stuff.
2018-01-11. Lightly hazy orange body with a small beige head that fades. Aroma is odd, almost like sweaty peaches at first, but mostly pleasant overall. Flavour has sweet fruit character on first sip that quickly turns dry, lightly bitter, notes of straw with occasional peach resurgence. Smooth average bodied palate, soft carbonation. Decent. 7/3/7/3/14-15 On tap at Bar Hop, Toronto.
