October 3, 2015 - at Barhop BrewCo, on draught. Hazy orange with a decent off-white head. Aroma is alcohol, citrus/citrus zest with lots of pungent C-hop bitterness. Taste follows, a little light in the body, but blood orange/pineapple floral/resin bitterness - alcohol is reasonably restrained for a DIPA. Light body, decent carbonation, medium-long slightly coating bitter finish. Solid solid.

Pale golden. The nose is softly sweet and a little bit fruity and
citrusy. Some light grassiness and a bit of lemon and grapefruit. More
pine and resin than the Citra but still has a clean fresh finish. A
fairly assertive bitterness and a nice fresh grassy finish. Really
bright and juicy. Has a great woody bitterness and a lot of bright
citrus.

(On tap @ barVolo, Jan 17 2016) Pours medium orange with s small white head and lots of lace. Aroma is loaded with grapefruit peel and flesh, and lots of resinous hops, some sweet caramel and overripe fruit, soft bready notes. On the palate, it is sticky and resinous with citrus oils, sweet tropical fruit and caramel at the core, a little bit of bread and lots of bitterness. Finish is dry, bitter and pithy with no real alcohol. Medium bodied, average carbonation. Quite a good DIPA, middle of the road for fruitiness but not overly malty, nice resin grip, invites further drinking.

UPDATED: JUL 4, 2016 2016-01-16. Limited notes. Much crisper citrus than previous bottle which was not quite as fresh, lovely orange and pithy grapefruit character. +1-2 Overall. Bottle shared by mds.

2016-01-09. Very lightly hazy orange body, nice frothy off-white/beige head. 3+ Big hoppy aroma when first poured takes on a more alcoholic character green tropical fruit, melon/guava like fruit character, mild green leafy hop touches. Flavour has similar hop profile, tropical fruit, guava and mango notes. Moderate leafy hop accents as well. Moderately sweet malt base is most noticed between a bitter finish and a moderately alcoholic aftertaste but the fruity hops return after the warmth of the alcohol subsides. Some citrus peel notes. Smooth medium bodied palate, soft carbonation. 3+ Dangerously drinkable at 8%. 8/3/7/3+/15-16 Bottle courtesy of Ferris.

Fantastic aroma of grapefruit, orange and tropical fruit. Bit of a dark fruit thing going on as well - it’s a real fruit salad. Medium bitterness. Excellent.

Rating 6700! [Bottle (650ml)] Decided to make this milestone a beer from one of my locals. Pours a slightly hazy golden-orange with a large lasting fluffy white head and lots of lacing. Big, resiny, citrusy hop aroma. A touch herbal and some bready malt in the background as well. Nice flavour, just as hoppy as the aroma suggests and well balanced by the malt. Not too sweet like many DIPAs are. A bit of alcohol there but mostly well hidden. Long moderately bitter finish. Medium bodied. A great DIPA!

Bouteille 650ml, gracieuseté de msjpearson, Thanks Mike! Couleur orangée voilée, mousse blanc cassé laissant une belle dentelle. Arôme de pamplemousse, malt, résine, petit quelque chose de off. Goût de pamplemousse, malt, alcool. Carbonatation faible, corps moyen. Une mauvaise bouteille?

Clearish gold with minimal white head. Nose is dank, with some grape, very earthy. Taste is lots of dank hops, balanced, very nice. On the less fruity end of the spectrum of the style.

Tap at Bar Hop’s new place on St Peter, Toronto. Translucent amber with a good off-white head. Tropical fruits and resin on the nose... so sweet, so fckn lovely. The bitterness - not at all overwhelming - manages to somehow cover the intense initial sweetness. Musky, cat pee-ish notes. Soft and smooth in the mouth. Alcohol well hidden. Reminds me of Boneyard’s IIIPA. Love it!
