On tap. Nice dark, caramel-chocolate-coffee notes. Complex but well balanced. Refreshing yet warming. Very good but not as truly exceptional as the Irish Red Ale.

Tap (from tasting tray) at the brewpub. Dark mahogany with a beige head. Malty aroma with roasty notes, hints of wood, dark fruits and hops. Medium to moderate sweet with mild, but pleasant malty flavours and a light bitterness. Fairly enjoyable.
