COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our tribute to the original buildings of Raleighs own Shaw University, built with red clay bricks that students made by hand. Our handcrafted House of Clay IPA is robust as they come. Four different hops are front and center with the rye bringing it all home in a clean, slightly spicy finish. Dry hopped for 5 days for a nice hoppy nose.

Pours a cloudy yellow gold body with a small frothy white head. The nose is full of juicy and tropical hops with a nice yeastiness and a slight rye spiciness. The flavor is pretty great, juicy hops with a heavy yeastiness, a "New England" style rye IPA? Nice juicy tropical hops with light bitterness and a great dry pale malt base. Medium bodied with a nice yeasty smooth texture and soft fizzy carbonation. Really great beer, best beer that I tried on my visit.

Pours a hazy golden orange from the can with fluffy off-white head that leaves moderate lace. Aroma and taste of big rye spicy malt notes over piney and earth hops. Moderate bitterness, good carbonation, easy drinker, not bad.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a lightly hazed amber with a thin white head. Soft hops on the nose, a hint of citrus. Medium bodied, spicy malt and a hint of rye, dusty and earthy. Long slow spicy rye and earthy bitterness on the finish.

Spicy piney hop aroma. Taste is malty with the rye spice, almost peppery, with a dry bitter finish. Well made and a fairly nice beer just not a huge rye IPA fan. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

9/16/14. Bomber. Pours hazy orange with a nice sticky head that slowly dissipates. Light citrus nose. Strong hop profile on the dark heavy side. Doesn't build up in the mouth though. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
