Blind tasted with 5 other pale lagers. Beers were: 1. Dog Tag Legacy Lager, 2. Amber Harde, 3. Granite City The Northern, 4. Rammer Jammer Beer, 5. Amber Johannes, 6. Ale Asylum 12 oz. Curl. All raters rated them 61 345 TIED 2.

355ml bottle. Pale pour. Aroma is mild, flavor is basic and bready, touch sweet, not offensive.

Post tasting thoughts:
This was surprisingly not the lightest beer of the bunch, but it also wasn’t great.

Bottle from John. Pours clear gold with a modest white head and almost no aroma. There is a thin pale malt flavor with a dry finish.

Caramel and alcohol nose. Slight carbonation a little bit bitter alcohol aftertaste somewhat light and watery yet not at all skunky

Very pale golden pour. What seemed like it would be a big white head fizzled out to nothing in just seconds. No lacing at all. Smell is a slightly hopped, lightly malty aroma. Sweet malty flavor with a bit of metallic mixed in. Slightly bitter on the finish with a slight sweetness. Not bad.

One of the worst beers I have had in a long, long time. Almost no aroma. Tastes like sweet corn with almost no hop presence. Thickish mouthfeel. Blech.

Can split with DiarmaidBHK - pours clear corn yellow, smells like corn, tastes like corn oil. I’m sensing a theme here.

Can from Hop City Birmingham. Brewed by Minhas Craft Brewery. You can tell from the color scheme, the Bear Bryant quote, and the fact this is being sold mainly in Alabama that they’re trying to appeal to the Crimson Tide’s fanbase. Its a typical light beer. It’s pale yellow, smells like corn, oily on the tongue, and doesn’t taste like much.
