Cask handpull at Hamilton Hall. As Ramsbury Chalk Stream. Short review in company. Pale golden, still and pretty clear with a small bubbly off white head. Aroma is biscuity, green tea, Jasmine. Body is smooth with soft carbonation. Taste is sugary, light straw, astringent floral notes. Plain and simple.

Cask conditioned at The Rose & Crown, Charlbury, Oxon. Gold with white head. There is a sharpish, quite a mineral character to this from the off. Hints of saltines then a drying bitterness. Its fine.

Cask conditioned handpump Cordwainer Northampton 03/06/ A blonde beer with a whitish head and lace. A tasty citrussy beer. Good limey fruits. A bit of biscuity malts. A bit of gingerbread note. A complex tasty beer which drinks its 5%. Grapefruit in nose is good too. Good.

/2 at the Tilley Stone Gateshead. Hazy pale yellow with a thin white head. Cereal aroma. Flavours of marmalade, blue fruits, and farmyard. Light bodied, slightly creamy texture. Gentle carbonation, moderately bitter finish. A bit of complexity raises this above more run of the mill blond ales.

Cask at the White Swan, Solihull. Poured a very slightly hazy light straw colour with a huge frothy white head. The aroma is weak hoppy with a bit of barnyard in there too. The flavour is medium to weak bitter with some nice grassy nettle hoppiness and some barnyard malt. Served on the cool side this is a super refreshing summer ale. The cask had only just been put on so I drank it nice and fresh which makes a difference. This beer deserves a better rating.
