On tap at Borefts After Party, run through a Randal of Pride of Ringwood hops and cherry wood. Cloudy brown with a good beige head. Aroma is fresh grassy hops, cherry wood, liquorice, coffee. Full bodied, slightly tannic and drying on the palate with a herbal earthy finish. Taste is cherry wood, coffee, earthy hops. yngwie (17185) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - AUG 18, 2014
Bottle. A gusher, almost clear though, topped by a dense, light beige head leaving some lacings. Dark brown in color. Roasted malts, lots of chocolate, some dried fruits and a faint yeast note on the nose. The flavor has vanilla and coffee blending in with the roasted malts and chocolate known from the aroma. Full body and a nice carbonation level. Lasting finish. A decent beer, but a tad boring I think. Lacks depth. 140530 Maakun (6339) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - JUL 12, 2014
Very dark brown with huge light beige head. Sour berries, some weird musty taste like old spice mix, rye, cola, light nuts, light citrus and pine. Some grains and a hint of coffee. Sour with bitter finish. Medium bodied, way too much carbonation. This is kind of weird, quite interesting though but the carbonation doesn’t help. Bottled. A red beer with a tan head. The aroma has notes of over ripe fruits and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, over ripe fruits and malt, leading to a bitter finish.
