Best before January 2013.
Appearance: The body is typical of a hefeweizen, very cloudy, actually opaque, though a bit darker than most I’ve had with this one being an amber hue. There’s a thin white head but it has poor retention.
Aroma: The aroma is very good here a bit on the sweet side, only hints of tart, a nice balance between banana and cloves with hints of bubblegum and very light tart apple.
Taste: Wow what a great hefeweizen that’s very refreshing. The intro and mid-taste are citrus with light yeast notes with light banana and bubblegum with a mild tart and light cloves on the finish.
Palate: Light to medium body with crisp carbonation.
Overall: This is a great hefeweizen, very crisp and very well balanced, I just wish there was a little more yeast in the flavor. I would love to drink this again.
Hazy yellow with a small white head.
Banana, Juicy-Fruit Gum, wheat aroma.
Yeast, banana, wheat malt, clove taste.
Very solid. shrubber85 (11322) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - MAR 31, 2017
Bottle. Sour milk, orange/banana, clove, wheat malt, and straw aroma. Hazy golden yellow with moderate white head. Moderately sweet banana, orange, wheat malt, and moderately bitter clove/light hay flavor. Very good - another winner from High Point. weihenweizen (3731) - Charleston Area, West Virginia, USA - FEB 2, 2017
Refrigerated 12 oz. brown bottle best by June 2017 from mikeq215 poured into a weizen glass. Cloudy with small white head. Aroma is yeasty, medium body, medium carbonation, and some small-bubble lacing. Taste is yeasty and some clove. Scotty001 (563) - Portlethen, SCOTLAND - NOV 20, 2016
Poured hazy and yellowish with a nice tight head. Standard weissbier aroma of clove and citrus fruit. Filling mouthfeel and flavour of citrus and a dry aftertaste. Dacrza (960) - Great Meadows, New Jersey, USA - JUL 19, 2015
Date: July 19, 2015... Glassware: Weihenstephan wheat... Occasion: recovering from the nine family party with a Sharktopus vs. Whalewolf viewing... Appearance: Begins with a two-finger white head that thins swiftly; an opaque, hazy yellow body that erupts in effervescence; zero tracings in the glass.... Aroma: lemon, clove and a bit of pepper make for an inviting profile; light malts suggest a balanced blond... Palate: smooth, medium-bodied, and with a bit of fizziness...drinkable and sessionable, but not nuanced or textured... Taste: clove, pepper, and malts are a flavorful treat, with a medium-bodied impact and indeed a balanced wheat; the apple/banana arrives at the end of the sip.... Overall: a refreshing, substantial hefeweizen that kept me quenched during a HOT summer afternoon....

(bottle) A well crafted American Heffe-Weizen brewed locally in NJ. The freshness stands out. Nice cloudy unfiltered golden complexion with ample head. The flavor is classic with banana, green apple and faint clove. Well done. revolution2718 (379) - New Jersey, USA - APR 17, 2014
Very hazy, minimal head. Nose is banana, lemon, clove, malty wheat, standard hefe fare. Taste matches nose, very effervescent and bubbly. Not bad, not great.

Got this as an extra in a recent trade, can’t remember who sent it but thanks. 12 oz bottle served in a Hefe glass. Best before October 2013.
A: Pours a clear yellow color with some light shading towards the top. A white head forms on the pour, about two fingers high, and settles down to a thin, wispy film. Some light splotches of lace are left down the glass.
S: Typical hefe smells. Light clove, some mild fruitiness with a solid wheat backbone. Banana esters are present as well. Light pie crust as well
T: The banana esters take over with a brown banana sweetness and rankness to it. The wheat is there with some mild sweetness. Slightly vegetal in natures as well. Doesn’t really mesh well together and isn’t that particularly inviting. After a few sips it becomes more bland and even less flavorful
M: Light bodied with a medium high carbonation level. Very banana ester forward on the finish with a high level of sweetness.
O: This just doesn’t work. The yeast profile they used wasn’t very inviting and while it had the typical hefe flavors it was extremely unbalanced. More hops and wheat would have been nice. A little fuller body to.

Pours hazy yellow/orange with a small white head and light lacing. Aroma of wheat, banana, yeast and oranges. Flavors of wheat, fruity, yeast, sweet finish
OK, but too sweet for me.
Pours clear/yellow with a very active head initially. Aroma is hasty and lemon. Very light and crisp, easy finish. Decent beer overall.
