Hand bottled sample shared courtesy of dickinsonbeer. Poured a medium and clear amber color with a small sized white head. Aromas and tastes of caramel, citrus, and some pine. egajdzis (6730) - Pennsburg, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 21, 2006
Poured a copper color with a small, white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of floral hops, light herbs, and toffee malts. Taste of caramel malts, with pine, tobacco, and faint citrus... some bitterness in the finish. Rciesla (5607) - Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA - APR 1, 2009
Draft. A vintage rating if you will. An orange body with a white head. Some pine and citrus. 3.5 per my notes. Dickinsonbeer (5073) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - JUN 9, 2007
UPDATED: JAN 15, 2008 Keggerator. Aroma and flavor are more geared towards a heavy herbal german hop in the newer batches and less citrus. Northern Brewer for bittering and Perle for aroma. All scores about the same. Nice new style here- the german pale ale!
On tap at the brewery. Pours a moslty clear golden with a fluffly lasting white head. Aroma is the traditionaly cascade hops, perhaps blended with some german hops- hallertauer? Light pale malt profile- crisp light dough, cookie, and citrus hops all around. Nice clean bitterness in the finihs. Nice easy drinking pale ale. I would want more hops, but this is good. Thanks to dickinsonbeer for sharing this one. Porus a translucent golden orange and a small white head. Aroma of lemon, various citrus, bready and hints of honey. Flavor was also bready, cereal, light hop bitterness in teh tail and some grapefruit.

Tap at brewery for eisbock release I know this says retired so hop it’s same recipe. Orange pour. Nose is earthy hops. Tastes of pine, earth, light caramel, bitter for sure, light spice, and some malt. Touch of basement on finish. Overall ok. alobar (3907) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 1, 2005
Golden yellow color with no head. Very hoppy aroma. Sweet, citrusy yaste with overtones of strong hops. A good beer. User37895 (3085) - - OCT 5, 2006
A pretty nice American Pale Ale, poured with a nice initial head, good lacing on the way down. The aroma was citrus and fruity esters. The flavor was grapefruits first along with light fruits, grapes seemed to be present at times. A nice drinkable APA, refreshing and quite crisp. mkobes (2142) - paramus, New Jersey, USA - APR 8, 2005
Growler filled. Hazy golden in color with a nice white head. Citurs hop aroma. Malty flavor with a nice hop flavor. Well balanced beer. Nice hoppy finish. Clean mouthfeel. Nice brew. Enjoyable. JFGrind (2071) - Glenside, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 9, 2006
With seven different hopes I thought this APA would have more of a pronounced bitterness and aroma. This was a good looking English bitter style pale ale.
