3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
I like the name of this beer because it describes my short visit to San Antonio. Draft at Flying Saucer. Clear bright amber color, tan head. Aroma of subtle caramel. Taste is very bitter toasted caramel. Very nice body.
Deep amber/mahogany color. Tannish head. Aroma is a bit muddled: some pine, a bit of citrus, the slightest caramel. It’s ok. PorterPounder (8283) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - MAY 3, 2016
San Antonio, TX - Total Wine & More - The Rim - 12 oz bottle. Dark copper pour, frothy. thick, bone colored head that leaves a nice thick trail of lacing. Aroma has some cherry fruity sweetness, some woody tannic notes. Flavor has some nutty notes, a bit of sweet cherry fruitiness, some light citrus bitterness. Not headed in any real direction. Decently thick mouthfeel. SudsMcDuff (8494) - .....Manchester United.........., Texas, USA - MAY 3, 2016
Thought this was an IPA, and thought it was tame, but half way through I find out it’s an amber, and a very solid one .. . Red malts, pine, seed shells, and sweet crust resin .. . Good amber ale, if that’s your bag .. . . I should buy a machete. dlihcsnatas (779) - Temple, Texas, USA - MAR 31, 2016
Beautiful looking brew. Dark red with nice head but that is about all it had to offer. There is a slight aroma of toffee mixed with something like soap maybe... Just not a "I wanna drink this" aroma. The taste is like most of the brews that was something good messed up by adding more hops. Can tell there is a wonderfully good malt background but then it was killed by massive hops. Not even sure what to say about the hops... citrus, pine, ???? just is not right. Just 5 more to go and that will be the last of that for me. Tap at Craft Pride. This in is a little off in hard to describe ways. Malt and bitterness do not combine well. A little harsh.

Pours a coppery reddish color with off-white head. Slight pine, grass, and some malt notes on the nose; follows onto the palate. Medium bodied. Finishes with grass and malt. ZacM612 (800) - San Antonio, Texas, USA - JUL 5, 2015
Dark reddish brown, slightly hazy with a very thin off-white head. Aroma is sweet, fruity, some hops. Malty flavor with a little citrus and bitterness in the finish. Okay. mmmbeer (1429) - Austin, Texas, USA - MAY 29, 2015
12 oz. bottle served in a shaker- poured a transparent brown/maroon color. Very light carbonation, wafer thin white head with several frog eyes upon the liquid surface. Aroma of malt and refined sugar. Hits the mouth with a medium body, malt isn’t soaked in caramel which is highly refreshing, some hops in the middle, finish is lightly acidic with a little sweetness. It’s ok. ericwill99 (95) - Texas, USA - APR 19, 2015
A little bitter, and a little sweet, which is a nice combination for me. Low in carbonation, it's very easy to drink. It's a beautiful ruby red, but I don't really taste much malt. KamGoPro (228) - Texas, USA - APR 4, 2015
Sweet molasses and gain nose. Dark brown pour. Roasted malts, sweet molasses and light leafy hops that hints of ipa on end.
