Bottle:   Deep brown, moderate frothy beige head, spotty lacing.   Moderate roast on the nose, a touch of alcohol, seems a little tart, perhaps some oak.   Some smoked aspects up front, immediate band-aid but it
quickly goes away (thankfully).   Mid-way through it gets a little tart, lactic, and woody.   Roast picks up on the backside a bit, some tart apple, along with mineral water.   Hides the 10% ABV well, but doesn’t seem like an
Imperial Porter given its abundance of carbonation and lack of rich roasted malts.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate, and airy.   Sweet backside, some aspects of roasted malts, but also a bit fruity, woody, and general
barnishness.   I keep reading that these will store up to 10 years, but I somehow doubt that.   The cap on #3 was already rusting in less than a year, under the wax even!   This is an interesting take for sure, sweeter than
most, airy and woody at times, with a mineral water background.   Not bad, some flaws, but unique enough to keep me entertained.   Thanks Bill! joergen (28148) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JUL 28, 2013

Bottle 37,5 cl. Pours a murky, opaque brown with a huge if dissipating beige head. Very lively carbonation. Lovely woody nose, some - pleasantly - rotten fruit and a slight tartness. Medium body, very subtle roast, more dark dried, rotten fruit, vanilla and wood. No real bitterness. Enjoyable. 260713

375 capped and waxed bottle. Pours a thick gradually collapsing beige head, with some lacing, over a dark brown, (SRM 35) body.....nose is light smoke, toffee/caramel, light chocolate.....taste is light smoke, light toffee/caramel, very light vanilla, hints of Bourbon, finishing with hints of harsh terpene along with moderate bitterness.....mouth feel thin, alcohol warmth present, carbonation low adding an acid bite. This is a very simple uninteresting beer which has enough off flavors to make it quite mediocre. BJCP 6/3/10/4/5 daknole (11049) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - APR 30, 2013
Dark brown pour, big tan head. Flavor of old fruit mixed with roast, vanilla, coffee...I think this one is infected too.
