Hmm, apparently got my numbers confused and left this in the back of the fridge for years thinking it was one I’d already head. In any event, yes, sour and red with interesting dark and earthy notes. BuckeyeBoy (7680) - Boise, Idaho, USA - OCT 12, 2016

12.7 ounce bottle shared with drsilverworm thanks to errl. Pours a clear copper with not much head. The aroma has bananas, booze, caramel, and cherrie pie filling. The taste is mostly sweet with a mild acidity. Bigger body and low carbonation.

12.7oz bottle, thanks to jstax for sharing. Bottle marked 7-1-13. Cloudy red, slightly brown color. Thin off-white ring of head, kind of khaki. Some loose dots and ropes of lace. Very nice aroma. Nice wood, lactose-like cream aromas, dark fruit (cherry), light tannic type spice. Medium to bigger body. Smooth, kind of crisp, lighter carbonation. More of a slick finish. Nice moderate sour taste, very satisfying. Light sweet, light bit of spiciness, not much though. Pretty damn satisfying tasty and complex sour red ale. Awesome stuff. merc7186 (3142) - North Tonawanda, New York, USA - APR 19, 2014

Bronze Medal Winner 2013 World Beer Championship
A thick/rich looking non-transparrent medium earthy brown. Any head to speak of relatively white/off white in color and quickly dissipating
Tart fruit, banana, red apple, almost has a red wine nose
Very tart, light mouthfeel and easy drinking. Slight alcohol note, fruit, cherries, figs, yeast, sherry that ends with a slightly tart and aged fruit finish.
This beer has a wild and interesting blend of tart fruit and ale characters, it is light yet slammed with flavor . The sour elements aren’t over the top but rather add dynamic and are surprisingly refreshing. Batch No. 6 won the 2013 Bronze at the World Beer Championships and for good reason. A big thank you to my friends at Ranger Creek for sending me their selection!
