Caramel color with a small foamy tan head. The aroma is amazing... sour, earthy, awesomeness, somehow still clean and crisp. Ranger creek does it again. The return of #1? Smooth, sour, crisp, desirable beer. gerby23 (42) - Arkansas, USA - SEP 14, 2013
So, apparently user ’Sphongloid’ doesn’t like sours. Everything he described is a sour beer. To the letter. This is so good, and exactly what a sour should taste like. BeernWhiskeyHQ (18) - Illinois, USA - APR 15, 2014

Bronze Medal Winner 2013 World Beer Championship
A thick/rich looking non-transparrent medium earthy brown. Any head to speak of relatively white/off white in color and quickly dissipating
Tart fruit, banana, red apple, almost has a red wine nose
Very tart, light mouthfeel and easy drinking. Slight alcohol note, fruit, cherries, figs, yeast, sherry that ends with a slightly tart and aged fruit finish.
This beer has a wild and interesting blend of tart fruit and ale characters, it is light yet slammed with flavor . The sour elements aren’t over the top but rather add dynamic and are surprisingly refreshing. Batch No. 6 won the 2013 Bronze at the World Beer Championships and for good reason. A big thank you to my friends at Ranger Creek for sending me their selection!

Bottle Julie brought back from San Antonio. Pours hazy ruddy brown with a transient tan smear. Rather tart cherry aroma. Rather! Med body, more or less. Mouth twitches at first contact. It is sour with some dark malt and fruit underlaying the cherries. It is and finishes tart/sour. Tho it mellows out with time. Good drink.

12.7oz bottle, thanks to jstax for sharing. Bottle marked 7-1-13. Cloudy red, slightly brown color. Thin off-white ring of head, kind of khaki. Some loose dots and ropes of lace. Very nice aroma. Nice wood, lactose-like cream aromas, dark fruit (cherry), light tannic type spice. Medium to bigger body. Smooth, kind of crisp, lighter carbonation. More of a slick finish. Nice moderate sour taste, very satisfying. Light sweet, light bit of spiciness, not much though. Pretty damn satisfying tasty and complex sour red ale. Awesome stuff.
