Rated based on notes taken 5 July 2012 -- This was an interesting beer. I honestly didn’t know what to think about it when I drank. I don’t think my palette had developed a taste for the flavors that were inside. degbert (1774) - Austin, Texas, USA - DEC 19, 2014
Bottle, aged since release at 38F. Nose -- wow. That’s funky. Barnyard, smoke, yeast, citrus, and just a touch of acetic. The beer is still gorgeous; hazy gold with a light creamy head that lasts a surprisingly long time. On the tongue, the bitterness is much more forefront, set off by a deep lemony acidity that keeps the flavor clean. No muddiness or sweetness, this is brawny and substantial with a tight, distinct, and well-defined flavor. It’s almost meaty in its strength. Finish is long and as dynamic as a well-worn leather jacket. An astonishing experience. hopscotch (11161) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - JUN 30, 2014
Bottle... Lightly-hazed amber pour with a thin, creamy, white head. Woody, mildly funky nose. Medium-bodied and astringent with buzzing carbonation. The flavor provides a decent balance of moderate bitterness and light acidity. Crisp, Sahara-dry finish. Bottle courtesy of biggsbowler! TXBadger (2811) - Dallas, Texas, USA - JUN 19, 2014
Pours a clear gold color with white head. Spice, oak, light fruits, and floral notes on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes with more light fruit.

Bottle from Rosebud Butternuts. Pours copper with a foamy beige head. Aroma of tripel fruit esters with oak and a hint of rye. Med body or better. Pineapple, light stone fruit, oak, mild rye, and the flavors sort of rotate. Really firm flavors. So woody it approaches sour. Quite tasty. marcus (10346) - Sacramento, California, USA - NOV 18, 2013
Bottle shared by bhensonb. Pours clear golden with a fluffy off-white head and a citrus and coconut aroma. There is a slightly sour pale malt flavor with a hint of oak. JStax (6918) - Devola/Marietta, Ohio, USA - SEP 28, 2013
375ml bottle thanks to Errl. The rubbery wax on this bottle was quite resilient. Aroma is musty and dry with a fruity floral presence. Taste is funky and floral. Has a nice dry sweetness. Really not what I was expecting, but its really quite good. 50belair (3663) - Florida, USA - AUG 22, 2013
