COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Coffee is a staple item during a morning at Ranger Creek, so we worked with Merit Roasting, a great local roaster, to create a beer that showcases the delicious bean. Sunday Morning Coming Down is brewed in the traditional British style with the addition of the two coffee beans that make up Merit Roasting’s espresso blend. One bean was cold brewed to give the beer a spicy, earthy body. The other bean was steeped in the beer post fermentation to provide berry and citrus notes. Lactose sugar adds body and mouthfeel to the beer like a splash of cream gives to a cup of coffee. The end result is a beer that Johnny Cash would agree is great for breakfast or dessert. Cheers!

12 ounce single .. Big pop and then gusher! .. Tons of foam, metallic caramel and tea bag from a homeless bum .. Not good, but probably not super fresh but shouldn’t have dropped off like this .. . . Two mice fell in a bucket of milk. One drowned, the other swam till it turned to cream. They caused the great botulism outbreak of ’57, killing thousands. Point is; never give up.

Pours a lovely dark amber with a pillowy offwhite head that stays long. Moderate lacing. Nose is light boozy with heavy caramel notes. Taste is fairly malty, but there’s a pronounced hop bite that’s very pleasing. Excellent brew.

Pours amber with a frothy beige head. Aroma is butty. Flavor is nut, toffee and toffee. Yea, I j of I said that twice. Bitter, tingy aftertaste. Thicker body. The finish is very thick and the aftertaste sweet then followed by a stark lingering bitteeness.... really not stark, but it just sounds so dramatic.

Bottle. Pours a dark amber with a high, fine-grained, creamy, light tan head. Nose is coffee, caramel, vanilla, nutmeg, mace, and turbinado sugar. It’s interesting to taste a coffee beer that’s not a stout; this is more like a strong amber or a mild tripel with coffee added, and it’s a nice change. The coffee’s inherent spice, earth, and vegetal notes hit first, followed by a clove-like tingle; after that it’s dark brown bread, caraway, dried fruit, spice, and filberts. Finish is long, dry, nutty, and savory. This is really very nice and a lovely departure from the usual. Well done.

Hazy amber brown with an off-white head. Notable coffee aroma, along with some spices. Some sweetness on the tongue, a malty ale with a nice dark-roasted coffee flavor.

Growler. Deep Amber with a light haze and a decent off-white head. Aroma is of coffee, herbs, pepper, and spices. Taste is of coffee, ginger, cinnamon, herbal notes, and light chili pepper, but without the burn.

Growler once and once at the brewery. The look is clear, reddish orange in color, and an off white head. The taste and aromas are coffee, fruity, sugary, toffee, lattee, and ok.

4 pack from some HEB south of new Braunfels. Straight from the bottle. Aroma of coffee and malt. Taste comes on with a mouthful of malt followed by a mouthfeel of coffee then a slight boozy with sweet lactose. Probably the best coffee beer I’ve had in a while.

Hazy Amber brown in color... Aroma of espresso, malts... Flavor is fresh brewed coffee, light malts, sweet caramel... Coffee forward for a lighter ale, probably my favorite by them ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cloudy copper with a very thin fading white head. Lovely toffee and coffee tones on the nose. Big boozy and earthy sweet nose with toffee and lots of cold brew coffee. A little bitter and boozy but nice flavor overall.
