Keg at the brewery. Light yellow, cloudy. Gentle smoked malt in the aroma with lemon and oak chips. Sour/sweet bitterness with a salty/savoury note: a little bit of everything. More smoke, like Spanish bean soup, in the aftertaste. A hard one to pin down but enjoyable. umich03jm (3513) - Flat Rock, Michigan, USA - MAR 26, 2016
Growler. Aroma is sour citrus with mild peat smoke. Tastes moderately sour. Lots of fresh squeezed orange, lemon, and lime juice. Mild smoke in the finish. Fairly salty. Really cool beer. Theydon_Bois (19494) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - DEC 11, 2015

Keg @ Rapp Brewing during RBWG. Cheers to the Rapp Crew! Gold pour with a small head. Very smoky nose. Loads of rich Smoked ham, brown sugar. Campfire stones. Taste shows more smoked malt character. Light lemon spritz. A touch creamy. Pretty light body. Eminently drinkable, deft. Light body, active carbonation. Good.

Draft. Yellow pour with white head. Light smoke, tart and citrus fruit aromas. More pork and smokey flavors, touch of citrus and tartness. bytemesis (8381) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - MAR 24, 2015
Growler rushed my way by Homer! Pours quite hazy golden, small off-white head, dissipates fairly quickly with some lacing. Aroma is smoky, woody, lemon. Flavor is light tart, light smoky, lemon and wheat, simple and drinkable but lovely. Medium body, low carbonation. This is a great combo. There should be more of these in the world. Draft at Rapp 3/16/2015. Cloudy straw color with thin head. Aroma shows a mild citrus, sour wheat and a very faint smoke. The lactic acid helps me get around the smoked malt finish. The acid and the smoke helps with the drinkability. I’m not a fan of smoked beers at all but this brewery really can nail now a variety of style. Another well-made brew. Enjoyed at the Rapp brewery stop of the rbwg2015 bus tour. Poured up on tap where it exhibits a lightly hazed dull copper body that supports a tiny white head. The aroma offers up inviting rauchy smoke and some oily smoked pork goodness, yes. The taste starts with tartness that stays short of being puckering and is sort of citrusy malt sweetened lemon and lime. It then quickly gets into lovely smooth smokiness that’s firm yet restrained. Great stuff that’s light refreshing and full of interesting flavor notes. GenDV138 (7284) - Falls Church, Virginia, USA - MAR 1, 2015
Draft at Rapp Brewing during the RBWG 2015 bus tour. Clear straw yellow with off-white head. Aromas of smoke, floral, woody notes. Tastes of lemon citrus, floral, light tart notes. Light body with a dry finish.
