From the bottle at Rapp. Pours a still dark cola brown. Nose is boozy coffee with notes of rum-soaked raisin and hints of earth and alcohol. Flavor is similar with a ton of booze, some chocolate, and some boozy fruit. Light in body and boozy as all hell.
Bottle... Sits black and still. The nose is roasty with a small splash of port. Full-bodied and fatty with trace carbonation. The flavor is sweet, roasty and alcoholic, but with very few rough edges. Sweet, warming finale. Very nice! jmagnus87 (2912) - Rockford, Illinois, USA - NOV 30, 2014
Sampled during RBSG. From notes. Coffee, chocolate, vanilla, oak and bourbon dominate. Moar please!?! 50belair (3663) - Florida, USA - OCT 7, 2014
Bottle shared by Randall. Dark brown pour, no head. Big caramel malt bouquet. Sweet with chocolate, big caramels, and licorice notes. Good body and mouthfeel. Dangerous at 20%..... jandd1983 (4390) - Wentzville, Missouri, USA - JUL 10, 2014
Sampled at the RBSG 2014. It poured a dark brown color with a small tan head. The aroma was of coffee with raisins, hints of earth and alcohol. The taste was similar with booze, chocolate and some fruit. vyvvy (6523) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - JUL 1, 2014
Sampled at the RBSG14 Grand Tasting - Pours deep reddish bronze. The aroma has port, sherry, toffee, caramel and a thick richness. It has a full rich smooth body with a low amount of carbonation. The flavor starts with the sherry and port from the aroma as well as lots of dark fruits (dates & figs mainly) and some light heat (not bad for a 20% beer). The finish has a bit more heat and is smooth and rich with the dark fruits shining through. Really nice.

Very odd looking bottle that found its way over to me at the grand tasting at RBSG. Pours a dark brown color with no head. Notes of soy, chocolate, brown sugar, vanilla, burnt sugar, toast, and a savory dried meat note. Medium-bodied, with low carbonation and a rich, sweet, and umami mouthfeel. Really out there. And 20%. Gee whiz. Or I guess I should say, OMG. jtclockwork (16701) - , New Jersey, USA - JUN 26, 2014
Bottle. RBSG Grand Tasting. St. Louis. Pours jet black. Nose/taste of chocolate liqueur, oak, boubon, vanilla and light spice. Full bodied. Smooth. Ferris (15906) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 21, 2014
Bottle - Anise, chocolate, mollasses and some big dark malts. Jet black with a thin head. Robust chocolate, spice and a so much going on I can’t describe. A worthy beer. DrSilverworm (9671) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JUN 21, 2014
Cool unusual bottle. Tasted at RBSG grand tasting. 20%??!?!?! Holy shit! Hazy brown color. Virtually no head. Big dark fruit, caramel, chocolate in the nose. Big body. Smooth kind of creamy very light carbonation. Good full feel. Surprisingly smooth for 20%, damn. Light slick. Wow, a lot better than expected. Drinks like 14% or so. Moderate to bigger sweet taste, some warmth, but no burn or bite so far. Impressive stuff! Strykzone (7430) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - JUN 21, 2014
Sampled at RBSG. Dangerous! Raisins and very rich malts. This is very sweet. A little chocolate. A crazy beer. Dryness, too. Fruitiness is complex and is coveted in that chocolate. Just a little heat but just a little.
