This one appears as a clear golden color. Aroma is of malts, hops, and an ever so slight pine. Flavor is of malts and hops. Has a malty finish. More of a session style beer. chriso (7533) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 25, 2009
On tap at the Warren Tavern, Georgetown (Boston) MA, October 2009. Glad to find this one, as I wasn’t exactly sure what the status of the operation was. Hazy orange. Entirely flat. Not too handsome. Very fruity aroma. Sweet on the palate. Lots of estery fruity Belgian yeast character. Full, slightly slick mouthfeel. Yep, definitely Belgian inspired.

Bottle: Orange-y golden pour with a thin white film. Unique aroma of sweet cookie malt, salty cured meats, and a subtle orange hint. Mild carbonation, decent texture. Flavor is a bit spicy. Not much hop character, yet it’s peppery and oily in the flavor. The body is supported by a cookie malt suggestion with a meaty hint in the background (salami?) Mild peppery dryness in the finish. This is definitely a unique beer with a strange flavor. Off a bit, yet interesting. kp (10882) - Woodstock, Georgia, USA - SEP 1, 2007

Bottle sampled on 2/13/07: Pours a cloudy yellow golden with a pillowy, well-lacing white head. Aroma of sweet, toasty bready biscuit malt with some citrusy notes. Body starts semi-sweet with a slightly bready texture and some citrusy lemon flavor. Fairly complex and interesting.

Poured a hazy dark yellow color with a medium sized off-white head. The aroma was yeasty and fruity with notes of apples and pears. A little dusty and a hint of tartness. The flavor was tart with light fruits and a moderate amount of sweetness. Lively mouthfeel. irishsnake (355) - Oakland, California, USA - JAN 15, 2007
beer pours a hazy creamsicle orange with a big white head that doesn’ retain so well, but leaves good lace. sweet fruity nose has citric and berry elements, as well as some sticky malt notes. perhaps some light caramel. some sherry. a bit of tea. very carbonated beer starts with some light sweetness, but then bangs into a nice-sized wall of hop bitterness that isn’t hinted at in the nose. perhaps a bit of soapy aftertaste. some solvent notes. big CO2 sting.
kind of a weird beer, with a real disconnect between the nose and the flavor. sort of weird and harsh. a difficult beer to get a handle on. jcwattsrugger (12420) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - DEC 30, 2006
12oz bottle-pours a white head and hazy amber color. Aroma is medium fruit-sweet, yeast. Taste is medium fruit-banana, malt/wheat, hops bite. Some musty, clove. Mellow, nice, creamy. OK carbonation. thornecb (5907) - Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA - OCT 25, 2006
Pours bright hazy orange red into a trappist glass. Head quickly subsides to skim rim with medium-sized bubbles. Sweet cherry and apricot aromas. Dry with upfront pit fruits which turns to a slightly unpleasant bitter finish.
