COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This German Style Hefeweizen is a throwback in homage of Cambridge’s most lasting nickname. Golden-yellow and hazy in appearance, this brew is a combination of American and German ingredients. Complex yet subtle, a faint sweetness immediately hits your palate followed by a distinctive wheat note. Notes of banana and clove are detected on the finish.

Can from Chaz. Cloudy pale yellow color, medium white head. Aroma has banana and citrus. Taste is lightly spiced citrus, banana, wheat with a light sourness. .

ganache (6012) - New Jersey, USA - AUG 2, 2017
Can from State Line. Nose mostly phenolic and unfortunately reaching into plastics territory, pour very (too! disgusting) pale yellow with slight haze and a soapy bright white head. Wheat slime and strong peppery flavor in the mouth, lemon and orange and again very strong wheat, getting strong bubblegum, having skipped over the clove, and a little stone fruit. Late bitterness with volume. Light-medium body with good, tight carbonation, relatively bright and refreshing, but the fermentation flaws really have to go. [2017.08.02: 2.1]

Pint out of a can. Pours a hazy light yellow with three inches of head. Crisp and refreshing. Has a banana bread finish to the taste that lingers on the palate. Nice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aroma reminiscent of a Saison.. light pale yelllow, goes down really easy. Taste is above average, not bad.

Draft at Max’s Taphouse. Pours yellow with a white head. Leaves some lacing in the glass. Solid clove and banana on the tongue. Very crisp and dry on the tongue with a fair amount of banana. Finished clean. Solid!

kramer (6682) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 2, 2017
Can. Hazy yellow body with a small fizzy white head. The nose is pretty traditional, some light esters of banana and bubble gum, some yeastiness, and wheat. The flavor is a little fruity with banana and light clove, a soft yeastiness, pale wheat. Mouthfeel is pretty well rounded with enough yeastiness to smooth things out, soft light carbonation. Pretty typical US Hefe, not bad, but doesn’t stand up to the classics.

weihenweizen (3996) - Charleston Area, West Virginia, USA - FEB 25, 2017

Draft at Lost & Found. Closest I’ve come to a German here (other than Live Oak), near perfect all around except for the pour. Wonderful consistency and feel, basic essences of banana and clove are present. Just need a half liter pour in a weizen glass to be sure.
