This is only for the Struise version! If you had this after 2015, you probably had the version brewed at De Proef. Please rate accordingly!

Our brew-master was born and raised in Newport Belgium. In the early days around 1600, a lot of women were accused of witch craft and got burned alive... Early 2010, the city council of Newport asked Urbain to develop a session beer for the two yearly evocation of a Newport witch called Jeanne Panne. Jeanne was as ugly as can be and had copper coloured hair. Elements enough for Urbain to create a rather exciting ale whom we named "Roste Jeanne".

Urbain Couteau: The brand "Roste Jeanne" was deposed behind our backs by the city council early 2013. To avoid any legal battles, we stopped brewing the beer. This beer is now brewed in contract by the city council of Nieuwport at the Proefbrouwerij in Lo-christi Belgium.
