Formerly brewed at Nørrebro Bryghus
English: An extra strong version of our London style porter, brewed in January 2009. After primary and secondary fermentation for three months on tank, the beer was racked into French oak barrels, previously used for a Cabernet Sauvignon based Bordeaux wine. After 11 months in the barrel, the beer is silky smooth and full bodied with rich chocolaty malt flavours, some red wine character and hints of vanilla and oak. Surprisingly dry on the palate, smooth and easy drinking with a complex, sweet aftertaste.
Ingredients: Barley malt, honey and hops.
