The beer is a big lager. 7.1% abv, not big enough to carry the Imperial tag but big for a Pilsner style.
It carries a classic lager fermentation profile - long cool fermentation and extended cold conditioning. This gives a dry, crisp yeast character typical of traditional lagers.
It is aggressively hopped with a blend of Motueka, Nelson Sauvin and Pacifica hops, and carries a solid hop bitterness as a result. A dry hop addition adds to the fruity hop aromatics expected of a Pilsner inspired beer. The best available German malts lend enough body to just balance the hop load.
