Maupihaa is a refreshing, yet strong Beglian Duble Spiced ale. Inspired by Gilles Ortmans the owner of Hotel Mopelia where we are located we crafted a special Mopelia beer just for him to serve. It is a Belgian styled Duble ale with a bit of local Tamanique honey and spices. It pours a rich amber red-brown color with a firm white head of foam. Aromas of warm spice and hints of honey are backed up with Belgian yeast and malt aromas. The flavor is clean, crisp and refreshing with a gentle spice and warmth that slowly fills your mouth. Rich, smooth and complex. Deep amber brown color. Aromas of allspice, clove and cerveza maupihaahoney. Flavors of rich warm spice move to caramel & rum. Refreshing & full flavor.
