Mummeøl – 8,0% Mumme er brygget sammen med Carsten Berthelsen. Mummeøl var i europæisk mid- delalder en meget elsket eks- portvare. Den er skabt i byen Braunschweig, der var en driftig handelsby. Mumme var kendt som en mørkmaltet Starkbier, tyktflydende som sirup og sprængfyldt med procenter. Man sagde, at øllet gjorde, at Männer davon umfielen, dvs., at Mænd faldt om efter indtagelsen. Det er formodentlig Mummeøllet, der har udvirket det folkelige udtryk, at dette eller hint er mums. Hornbeer har genskabt det gode øl, som vi formoder, at det har smagt i gode, gamle dage. Prøv den til stærke oste og/eller nyd øllet i en stille stund, hvor du lader tankerne gå på vandring.
