Church Street Anniversary Special Hell Lager

Brewed by Church Street Brewing Company
Itasca, Illinois USA
5.5% Dortmunder/Helles | 7 Ratings | 20 IBU | Special Release |
In honor of our first anniversary, we give you a new twist on an old favorite with Special Hell: a Helles brewed with 100% Weyermann’s famous floor-malted Bohemian Pilsner Malt from Bamberg Germany, using techniques that are centuries old, to obtain the highest quality malt from the highest quality barley. Decoction mashing allows for a deep malt character and creamy, bready texture that is truly unique. Fermented using Andechs Bavarian lager yeast, and hopped with the use of 3 Noble hops: Hallertau, Hersbrucker, and Tettnang--all imported from Germany. Thanks to those who made the first years great, and those who will make the years to come even better--and prefer their lagers crafty!
