Formerly brewed at Charles Wells (Marston’s)
This intriguing and complex beer has a deep red/brown colour. It is brewed from rye crystal malt as well as conventional pale and crystal barley malts. The hops are Hallertauer and Northern Brewer from Germany and Styrian Goldings form Slovenia. It has a big rye bread, barley sugar and hop resin aroma, with rich malt, aromatic hops and sultana fruit in the mouth. The bitter-sweet finish has rye, hops and dark fruit combining in a satisfying, refreshing fashion.
