83% op Banyulsvat, 17% op nieuw eiken Deze Oak Aged Batch 19 is gerijpt op vaten van Banyuls, een versterkte Franse dessertwijn afkomstig uit de Roussillon, ook wel een Vin Doux Naturel genoemd. De geur en de smaak van banyuls doen denken aan die van pruimencompote en cacao. Deze geur en smaak zijn naast bloemenhoning en gerookt eikenhout ook in deze batch duidelijk terug te vinden. Op de voorgrond blijft wel de smaak van La Trappe Quadrupel. Het mondgevoel van alcohol blijft aanwezig en vult de complexe en zoete smaak goed aan. Het bitter, eigen aan bier, is door deze combinatie niet aangetast. Het koolzuur geeft een lichte tinteling op de tong en de rooksmaak ijlt nog even in de keel na.
