Brewed by Free State Brewing Company
This Baltic-Style Porter marries the chocolate character of an English Porter with the strength more typical of an Imperial Stout. The lager yeast employed lends a smoothness and neutrality not typically seen in a Porter. Named for the Battle of Black Jack between John Brown’s men and the pro-slavery forces of Henry C. Pate in a Black Jack oak grove near Baldwin City in 1856.
