What really makes this beer unique is the distinct smoke flavor and aroma of the ale. This is achieved by the use of barley that was dried/roasted in a wood fired kiln. As the malt dries it absorbs the smoke from the wood that is used to provide heat. Ours is brewed with beech wood smoke barley, non-smoked malted wheat and a top fermenting German yeast.
