After some 35 years of absence, SABMiller re-released the historical Gettelman $1000 beer at the Miller Inn on September 6, 2007. Brewed from a recipe in the A Gettelman Brewing Co. archives dating from 1891 to 1961 and by Miller’s archives from 1961 to 1971, this 100% all malt premium beer carried a challenge to anyone who could prove that anything besides malt, water yeast and hops was used would receive $1000 award.
