The head is stable. The taste is mild, less hoppy-grassy, a bit malty. Maybe dry hopped with old hops? There is not much taste insite! 10/7/6/7/11/8 kappldav123 (6133) - GERMANY - DEC 3, 2012
Bottle looks simple but really good. Beer in the glass zippy, nice head. Starts strong, fine hoppy, not too dry. Flowery-grasy notes. Finish milder, well balanced, quite drinkable. Nice! thewolf (12797) - Kolding, DENMARK - DEC 2, 2012
Bottle, bought @ Bierzwerg.de. Hazy orange golden with a nice, creamy, white head. Aroma has sweet malts, light caramel, light grapefruit, mild peach. Medium to high carbonation, fine dry and light grainy mouthfeel. Flavour is mild, some sugary dough, grassy, light grapefruit. Quite bitter, lingering finish. Embrouille (2854) - SWITZERLAND - DEC 1, 2012
Bottled 33cl. Inviting aroma of citrusy hops, sweat, grapefruit and tea. Leafy. Good malt back. Nice bitterness. Medium bodied. Balanced. Dry finish which makes you eager to take another sip. Rather pleasant. I enjoyed this beer more than Ratsherrn pale ale (more resinous hops, better head retention). brugmanneke (283) - GERMANY - NOV 30, 2012
(33 cl bottle) Orange, hay, with chunks of sediment and a medium, tan head. Smells fruity (grapefruit, pineapple). Aroma has some pine needles and herbal notes as well, with hints of caramel and roasted malts that go along. But: fruity aroma could be stronger. Taste is medium bitter and lightly sweet. Drank it in direct comparison to their regular pale ale some days ago. No big differences, but the latter seemed a touch less malty and had a buttery note. But back to the festival beer: I’m happy about its availability in my local drinks market, but I wouldn’t necessarily choose it to initiate newbies to the APA style.
