Copenhagen 12/9 2015. 33 cl bottle brought home from Hamburg as a gift. Thanks. Pours clear reddish brown with off-white head. Settles as 2 cm thick layer of foam. Lots of lacing. Aroma is sweet and of caramel and brown sugar. Medium carbonation. Flavour follows the nose. Quite sweet sugary caramel. Short sweet aftertaste. Pretty one-dimensional for people who like to spend the evening at the candy megastore.

Bottle from a mixpack bought at a Getränkemarkt outside of Heiligenhafen. Malty smell with caramel. Similar taste, quite sweet. Drinakble but very one-sided.

Keg at the brewpub, Hamburg, 16/07/15. Reddish amber with a decent light beige covering. Nose is biscuit, fruit peel, brown sugar, malt. Taste comprises rich caramel, biscuit malt, brown bread, dark fruit rinds. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok Vienna but ultimately it meant nothing to me !

Tasted as drought beer right next to Ratsherrn brewery, Hamburg. Red, brown colour, sweet & smooth. Not too strong and good for having lunch.

Bottle from McTapps, thanks! Light toasted, floral, caramelly, spicy (Saphir). Quite nice everyday beer, though it fails at justifying why you should prefer this beer to its Franconian (cheaper) counterparts.

Many thanks for this beer to kevnic2008. Piwo o atrakcyjnej czerwono bursztynowej barwie, ladnej piance ale malo trwalej. Zapach ciekawy, jakby drzewo sandalowe, perfumy i melisa jakby w tle. Zaskakujacy aromat. smak karmelu i toffi nieco wytrawnosci, chmielu i malo slodowosci. Ciekawe i dobre.

L: -pours a clear bordeaux red with a medium, frothy, quickly dissipating beige head -medium carbonation visible S: grainy, grassy, nutty, faint caramel, plums and raisins T: -caramel,toffee,fairly hoppy w a slightly roasty finish F: -light body, medium carbonation O: Reminds me somewhat of a toned-down Brown ale,but with a light & clean lager character. Good.

Clear, red brown colour. Light toasted malt aroma with some caramel. Fairly plain and bland but not offensive.
