The beer has a beautiful color. The color is ruby red, not that dark. In strong light, the beer has a beautiful orange red glow. The beer is quite clear. The beer pours a thick layer of soft creamy foam. The foam is slightly off white. The most foam collapses, but a thin drape of foam remains on top of the beer. The beer has a nice smell. I bock beer. The beer has aroma’s of caramel, red cherries, alcohol, brown sugar. There is also a little roast aroma. This roast aroma gives the beer a nice dark bitter sweet aroma. It is really nice for the autumn. The smell also has some licorice in it. The taste is very nice. I taste everything the smell also has to offer. There is caramel, fruitiness, alcohol, sugar and the nice roast flavor. It tastes just like most bock beers, which I love. This really is a nice beer. Bottle. Pleasantly malty, bitter and refreshing, but a bit watery altogether. Nice pine, though! gunnfryd (15483) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - OCT 21, 2015

Sampled at Altes Madchen. Light biscuit, caramel, notes of fig, mildly bready. Drinkable but fairly light and basic stuff again.

Vom Fass. Kastanien Farben mit cremigem dunklem Schaum. Toffee Aroma. Der Geschmack ist dezent süß mit angebranntem Karamell. Im Abgang nicht lang anhaltend bitter Erzengel (9745) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - SEP 13, 2015
Nice smooth "red" beginning. Soft malt, hints of dryness and roast. Great combination on a highly drinkable basis. Nice soft malt, smooth. The bitterness is really low, nice malt. Great sessionable with a dry malty finish. DraftDodger (1790) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - SEP 12, 2015
Copenhagen 12/9 2015. 33 cl bottle brought home from Hamburg as a gift. Thanks. Pours clear reddish brown with off-white head. Settles as 2 cm thick layer of foam. Lots of lacing. Aroma is sweet and of caramel and brown sugar. Medium carbonation. Flavour follows the nose. Quite sweet sugary caramel. Short sweet aftertaste. Pretty one-dimensional for people who like to spend the evening at the candy megastore. olsvammel (7312) - Örebro, SWEDEN - AUG 15, 2015
Bottle from a mixpack bought at a Getränkemarkt outside of Heiligenhafen. Malty smell with caramel. Similar taste, quite sweet. Drinakble but very one-sided. Theydon_Bois (21425) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - AUG 5, 2015
